He consoles her and she confides to him her guilt over the anger she often feels over Pizzazz Especially when she shows her human side as in listing her as an emergency contact In the previous issue Pizzazz was shown to be seen in a car accident There s a flashback to a month ago when Pizzazz has kicked them out and in the privacy of the room shown to be worried while watching Jem s new video We find out that Rio is there because he was the one that found her and called it in Rio at Stormer s request goes to inform Roxy and Jetta knowing where they live because he previously tracked Roxy down to do an interview and then found out they lived together He also knows about Kimber and Mary s secret affair Roxy and Jetta rush to be by Pizzazz s side Rio receives a call while at the hospital pressuring to exploit Pizzazz s accident He doesn t feel right about it considering the Misfit s positions and after getting to know then but the other journalist is an ass and says that if he doesn t it s his job Rio turns to Jerrica and the others in his frustration which turns into her and the Hologram s frustration in learning their the opening act on the Misfit s tour Jem and the Holograms save the day by agreeing to let Rio interview them about the tour and he turns that story in In leaving the hospital he finds out that Pizzazz s vocal cords are severely damaged. Jem and the holograms internet archive MY THOUGHTS Very funny too in old throwback fashion to the cartoon to have Rio kick over a plant on the way out I found that amusing As for the plot goes there wasn t a lot to comment on other than showing the Misfit s loyalty to Pizzazz Which was touching to see that even though they all seem like a dysfunctional bunch that argues than they get anything done when one of them is hurt the others drop everything shown in how Jetta and Roxy fly out of their house Roxy without even stopping to get any of the pizza Which is surprising We all know how much Roxy loves her junk food So in a way.

They aren t that much different from Jem and the Holograms Even though if Pizzazz is reading this you didn t hear that from me The other thing is how Rio seems to have compassion in this modern version for the Misfit s which he NEVER did on the show He honestly seems to not want to exploit them because he s gotten to know Mary and because he knows a secret about Jetta and Roxy which the others don t know And this might just be me but why would Jetta and Roxy living together be something that s so serious they d want to hide it from Pizzazz It might be like Oh I didn t know you lived together But as for her going full outrage over it Which makes me wonder if it s than that and they re covering up something with all the fighting they pretend to do in front of the others To me.

I ll be catching up from now on 26 Somehow I managed to miss that this issue had been released and ended up reading it after 11 It was a sweet story as it showed a much balanced side of the Misfits as they all joined together for Piazza s hospital stay It was interesting to see things from Rio s perspective But I fear it was let down by the art Corin just didn t know how to draw the women and they ended up looking ugly and frumpy The other two guest artists added of their own style to Sophie s creations but this time it just looked quite bad I m really glad that Sophie is back drawing now 26 The best thing about this issue was the Archie 70th anniversary subscription. Jem and the holograms ebook pdf download Kelly s ambitions are eclipsed only by her desire to exist entirely in pajamas Fortunately pajamas and writers go hand in hand most of the time Please buy all her stuff so that she can buy and wear pajamas site_link Still one of the most consistently well written and entertaining comics on the stands this is a great showcase for readers of all ages And it should also be commended for the depths of diversity that it portrays in an honest matter of fact manner 26 The art inside this issue is not good at all The story doesn t progress far but it was a nice touchy feely chapter with a side of flashbacks The best part was when Rio kicked over a potted plant which is an infamous antic of his from the cartoon series But in the comic he s a very different person and he not only picks the plant up but apologizes to everyone who witnessed his outburst I like comic book Rio He s different but he s a good character And he s being a good friend to both Jem and the Holograms and to the Misfits which is nice 26 Although I still liked the storyline I found the artwork for this issue distracting as I didn t much care for it Bring on issue 11 and Sophie Campbell s gorgeous art 26 Usually five stars but I give this one a 4 because I don t like the artist for this issue 26 The artwork in this one doesn t have the same feeling to it as the others Even though the artists have varied in other issues you can still see the familiar aspects to each character and they still look like themselves But here Aja and Rio s Asian features are gone as one example The writing doesn t have the same feel to it either and comes off a little trite in places It might just be that the whole thing is from Rio s perspective causing the difference in tone but the combined feeling of the issue is just off That s the only reason this issue isn t 5 stars like ALL THE OTHERS for me That said we see what happens in the aftermath of 9 s ending and it has done nothing to lessen my love for the series as a whole AT ALL 26

Jem and the Holograms 10PLOT Sitting in the waiting room at the hospital Rio reflects about his decision to be a journalist when he discovers that he s good at finding out the truth And there are many truths he s finding out this night and lately When he runs into an upset and crying Stormer it reads like not only are they roommates but they re living together And in this version since we ve not seen either of them with love interest so far I wouldn t all be surprised if this is the direction it went Even though I think 3 gay members would be over kill but I just don t see why they have guilt over it They re in a band They work together It s not such a stretch to believe And then I wondered could a car crash cause you to have vocal cord injuries I ve heard of spinal injuries So did Pizzazz scream so loud she damaged her vocal cords RATING 5 This one wasn t that eventful exciting in storyline 26 This one felt like a rare miss for me First I do not like the new art Not one person looked to have an appropriate facial expression when facial expressions were apparent and not bland This one focuses on how Rio isn t fit to actually do his job We are supposed to sympathize because hey he s a good person and doesn t want to hurt his friends However he s a reporter There s too many sympathetic reporters and most of them won t have jobs for long especially if they are meant to cover music 26 I m thoroughly enjoying these comics character development and the way they accomplish it without letting go of the core of what makes these characters who they are keeping them recognizable to an audience who knew them before these comics existed But than anything and to the credit of this specific number I love how we can see a vulnerable realistic side of the Misfits without them losing their spunk And also thank you so much for giving Rio a personality much appreciated There s a specific scene which I think shows the complexity of both Jerrica s and Rio s situation and points of view when he s interviewing the Holograms plus Jem s actual hologram and Jerrica looking at the scene from afar that I really loved and I think says a lot of what s to come I m glad to be back reading Jem after this hiatus I took it will be explained in further issues, Jem and the holograms live action book cover Betty and Veronica rocking out with the Holograms It was interesting to see Rio s perspective for a change He is a very resourceful reporter with good morals: Jem and the holograms book I didnt like the new drawing style i guess I was too used to the first artist I hope it goes back to them in the next issue: Jem and the holograms blaze I m ready for the focus to go from the Misfits back to the Holograms 26.
