Book of humanity lost world As I read I found myself engaged in an internal battle The plot centers around a character doing things I don t enjoy for reasons I don t fully understand and there are good indications that even as my understanding increases as the pages flow by my enjoyment of his actions will not improve Additionally as mentioned above the fantastical events and archetypes in the book are not typically ones that I find myself at all able to identify with and thus I am very rarely interested However at the same time we keep getting glimpses into the past which humanize so much of the horror which cast images and sculptures of love and loss heartbreak and joy triumph and defeat and it seems impossible to either stay dispassionate or not engage emotionally with what is going on If I were a character in this story it is clear that I would either be unimportant or in fact the enemy so far as the protagonists are concerned yet try as I might I can t hate them. Book humanity lost There were moments where the drama in my mind and heart was interrupted by a typo here or an oddly formed sentence there but that leads to me wishing for a better editor not condemning the author There were times when literary assumptions were made which I would personally have explained and others when the camera seemed to move through several shots so quickly as to leave me a bit puzzled about what had happened or why it was so and that certainly is somewhere I would encourage the author to improve However despite these objective flaws this author somehow managed to subjectively convince me to keep turning the pages I wanted to keep reading to find out what happened to discover if the angels or the devils won and in fact to discover who indeed were angels and who were devils.
