Gone with the Bullet came as a surprise Glad I read it English I am just done reading 6th novel of the new year and what can be the better way to celebrate your weekend than sitting with a book for hours Isn t it This time I picked up Sheela Jose s 2nd book Gone with the Bullet which is published by the Whitewall Publisher This 318 pages thick book is about a crime thriller about how a girl falls in love with the man who might be her father s killer It s always wonderful to read a thriller written by a female author because there s already many men in this genre releasing book one after another Last time.

Aarti Venkatraman surprised me with her Kingdom Come and I can surely say that Sheela Jose is another competitive author in our Indian market The writing style of the authoress is wonderful and she narrates her story very well The best that I found in this book has been the way the past life of each character is intertwined perfectly and the way it has its reflection in their present behaviour in the social circle Even though the book stays on its main plot but still the characters are built with each chapter and you can understand what s going in mind of each one of them Also the curiosity of what shall happen in the end stays with you as a reader which makes this book a great page turner Author have researched well therefore the technical terms that she have used for explaining the backdrop of shooters.

Sheeja Jose amazed me After reading Gone with the Bullet I was wondering how someone can think and write such complicated unusual story as simple like a romantic novel As I turned pages I was trying to guess the story forward But every page she gave me something unexpected As I finished this one I ordered Goodbye Girl I was curious to read her first book Sad she lives in India where thriller writers hardly find any readers I must say terrorists and police force is worth reading Initially it is hard to get into the flow of the story because the way the first chapter begins isn t reader friendly but once 60 70 pages are done we start getting used to the author s unique way of narration and start enjoying the story of two couples simultaneously Also Mark begins to get over you and becomes the favorite character by the middle of the book And the final section when the task has to be executed is also well written and you are surprised by the turn of events Though it had become predictable at one point of time that who among the protagonists would ultimately do that final task in the climax but still the whole scenario is worth reading and experiencing Coming to the drawback I felt that the author stretched the story for almost 40 50 pages Even after the climax when the suspense starts getting unfolded to us it takes almost 50 70 pages and you are made to read the same scenes again with a different angle which is interesting in the beginning but starts irritating after a while and you want to skip the pages even when you want to know how exactly the real player ended up ruining everyone s plan Also as I have said it above the initial chapters aren t reader friendly which could have been written little better Author have failed in narrating the first 50 pages and the last 50 pages of the book Rest it is a wonderful book which should be read if you are into thrillers Just for this I am cutting 0. Gone with the bullet crime scene Pros Page turner Storyline Engaging Flow Multiple POVCons Some may find it lengthy Again due to multiple pov s the ending seems stretched Ending could have been shortenedOverall a thriller ride English Review at A bookworm s MusingHaving read the author s debut not so long back I had an idea of her writing style It hasn t changed too much in this novel either The non linear story using multiple POV brings smaller sub stories and that keeps the book interesting and engaging I loved the character sketches the book brought What I didn t enjoy as much was that the multiple POV tend to slow the pace of narration at times It s a thriller worth reading but a thriller that can t be finished at one sitting Awaiting further books from Sheeja now English a nice thriller with suspence and great relations. Will bullets ever be replaced afterall its a good enough to read English I have no idea why but reading the blurb made me think of the movie Leon There is absolutely no reason but for some very odd reason it did and I just couldn t shake off the feeling As such the book had a lot to live up to. Gone with the bulletw watch This being a thriller I am going to avoid giving any details about the premise of the story since the blurb of the book gives away just enough and keeps just the right amount of secrets The best I can do without giving away any spoilers is that there are two characters Mark Divya whose past present and future are all somehow mingled and that the novel spans over a period of 10 days. Will bullets ever be replaced The author has laid out a thrilling plot for her readers to enjoy The main players of this plot are etched out quite well They shape up slowly as the plot progresses and by the end they grow immensely I loved the way the author has given some of them a backstory to feel familiar to the readers Also the fact that the author has given us multiple POVs a reader gets the complete look at what exactly is happening While it is quite satisfying to be able to get into the minds of all the lead players it also makes the plot predictable What pulls the book down is the pace of the story While the story covers the events of only 10 days the book is 310 pages long Therein lays my dilemma While the multiple POV surely gave me some thrill it also slowed down the pace I wished for the story to move faster The author s language in the book is quite enjoyable It did falter at couple of places though but it is something that can be corrected with tighter editing. Gone with the wind extract The one thing that stands out in my mind about this book is the way the author has added quotes at the beginning of each chapter Some of them made it in my pocket book of quotes Also can we take a moment to appreciate the cover I absolutely adored it It certainly takes the aesthetic aspect of the book to a whole different level and it also managed to pique my curiosity regarding the book and about the female character as well. Gone with the bulletx cast With the same elements acting as both the up and the down of the book this book evoked mixed feelings in me But when it comes down to the bottom line the book is certainly a winner It deserves at least a single read, Gone with the bulletors the nimisha s character thrilled till last with some glorious moves in story: Gone with the wind extract the relation between mark and nimisha was nicely presented and with a new feel.25 stars from my rating which is 3.the last chapter could be shorter.http www.b00kr3vi3ws.in 2016 02 gon English
