The eagle and the fox book As I said there are many characters in this book and according to that many events and I shall say too many It was really hard for me to distinguish important events Okay there is an abduction there is a bride show but many other events in short chapters complicated the whole story and sometimes it was hard to follow Another thing I expected here which I expect in almost every book is a great chapter ending I expected from chapters to suprise me to make me asking questions to keep me with the book but none of that happened in a single chapter And guess what There are many chapters So this is the first book in the series This may sound harsh but I can t say I want to know what happens in the second book I am really sorry to have a review like this but it is my honest opinion and I think that is most important here even though I won this book 9781479407958 This series emulates Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones but it lacks the character development and plot pacing to do so effectively Though the book has superficially interesting characters Decimus Manasa Aulus to name a few that piqued my curiosity they never achieved enough background individuality and motivation to make me invested in their story lines Further the women were frequently reduced to their sexuality giving them even less time to develop character traits of their own This oversight is likely due to the environment in which the story takes place but other books within the genre have allowed female characters to gracefully develop nonphysical characteristics despite their confinement to second class citizens within the plot s environment The unavoidable comparison makes the characters in this novel seem clumsily directed and generally unfinished 9781479407958
