Book Justice league city Geoff recently became a New York Times Bestselling author with the graphic novel Superman Brainiac with art by Gary Frank site_link The last two issues have been kind of disappointing Darkseid War had been quickly becoming one of my favorite things ever in comics However the last two issues have fallen a bit flat for me The art is still great and there s still a lot of intrigue But it also feels liek Johns is making things happen for no reason and rehashing too much from the last arc It was still enjoyable and I ll keep reading but I was definitely let down Comics Graphic Novels A 83% Very GoodNotes Read in trade paperback Collective review for issues 45 50 and other included stories can be found here Justice League Volume 8 Darkseid War Part 2 Comics Graphic Novels This was so good I loved it the art was phenomenal the story was getting to the climax for me anyway we get to meet the Crime Syndicate again etc I m very excited to read the next one Comics Graphic Novels Another instance where I m not sure how I feel about the ending Comics Graphic Novels The League are starting to return to Earth but some are having issues with their godly powers With the threat of the Anti Monitor and Grail looming the League turns to the Crime Syndicate for help But will these insane dopplegangers actually help or betray them when they least expect it This issue begins amping up the story again With the League starting to unify again and the addition of the intrigue created by the Crime Syndicate I think we re starting to get on track There s still so much going on that Flash and Aquaman don t even make an appearance here I do like the fact that their imprisonment has really sent the Crime Syndicate over the edge Ultraman and Superwoman are pretty creepy bordering on Joker creepy This should be one heck of a team up I also like the ideas that the godly powers are corrupting the heroes in their very stengths Superman s very cells are deteriorating and Batman s mind is being twisted It makes the overall story interesting and hopefully the eventual victory will be that much well deserved Loved the idea that Green Lantern had enough willpower to shrug off the powers and stay true to himself Glad to see Jason Fabok back on the story His artwork is gorgeous and really adds to every dimension of this story Still an interesting story that s picking up pace again Comics Graphic Novels
