One of the most acclaimed new DC Comics series concludes its first amazing epic as Anubis defeats Fate and takes his body and soul on a surreal journey into the ancient and mystical House of the Dead Doctor Fate 7Anubis has taken Khalid to the House of the Dead for final judgement and eternal torment This is a HUGE ending to the first arc the origin arc if you will We get fully immersed in Egyptian mythology here being taken to a sacred location in that faith We re actually treated to a battle of gods like we might have seen in Wonder Woman or Thor So it s very cool to see this mythology represented like that That seems pretty unique to me although I haven t read some of the recent Moon Knight runs so I could be mistaken there and very welcome I love that this series has been exploring that mythology and pantheon and making it every bit as significant as the Greek or Norse mythologies we re so used to in comic books. Doctor facebook post Khalid finally gets the chance to embrace his heritage and inheritance this issue We get to see him open his eyes to everything despite the fact that he still feels so much of it has been a dream I m guessing future issues will feature is full acceptance of everything including the artifacts.
