When Will meets Jake the sparks fly and the attraction is instant There s just one small problem Jake s mother and Will s father have just gotten married Will has never believed in true love before but when he sees Jake for the first time at their parents wedding something deep inside him tells him that this is the one A reason maybe to stop living only for pleasure for sex to be than just physical release Half the time Jake seems to feel the same way The other half Jake seems to hate Will pushing him away angry and dismissive one moment and possessive the other Things are intense and that s before their well meaning parents sent them on a cruise together hoping that the two will become friends Inevitably they fall into bed together and what they have seems to be real emotional than just plain sex But how is it possible for them to be together given how very forbidden their relationship would be My Forbidden Step is a stand alone gay erotic taboo romance with a HEA and explicit fully realized sex scenes My Forbidden StepOkay what wasn t wrong with this story I mean they re 21 25 years old their parents decided to get married That does NOT make them brothers in any way They re two strangers whose parents have happened to be marrying each other that s it So nope naah no No taboo These two men could be together without any of that unnecessary drama surely Jake s mom Will s dad didn t really need to do THAT COME ON That being said what was it with Will thinking with his little head all the damned time I mean come on man Respect yourself a little It was just awfully wrong I kinda think everything happened so easily for them the story just moved on without any important thing happening The plot could turn into an interesting story but this story wasn t good at all The characters weren t perfectly shaped either it felt like the whole story was about Will Jake fucking while the other characters just dropped in at times when the author needed them there not when their presence was necessary for the story So no I don t recommend it to anyone 95
