Fluffy and fast holiday read I give Santa s Little Secret a solid 4 Stars Sandra Walsh Eli just wants to find someone of his own and doesn t like to cause trouble When he receives an odd Secret Santa gift with a beautiful and touching message attached he doesn t know who to thank Is it the hunky coach or tall and gorgeous principal Both men are acting strange but neither is acting like they re the gift giver just when Eli thinks he knows who it is the man acts like an ass and he s back to square one This is a very short and sometimes confusing story I had a hard time reconciling the Coach s actions with his supposed sexuality and I also felt the Principal acted in ways that were at odds with his declarations Eli meanwhile seems content to go after who ever claims him and doesn t do much as far as standing up for himself. Santa's Little secretum secretorum This is an adorable fast holiday read I m not a fan of first person narratives but after the first page I was caught up in Eli s personality which came easily across the page The simple plot of this book is Eli receives a snow globe from a secret admirer as his Secret Santa gift The gift is no mere gift but included a note professing the giver s love for Eli Eli s siblings insist he find out who it is The only two possible suitors are Coach Ryan Jeffers and the Principal Daniel Collins The story takes us through Eli s predicament in trying to figure out who his suitor is. Santa's Little secreto The author did a good job with Eli s personality even though written in first person Often first person narratives don t convey a character s personality well while in monologue but that wasn t the case here I was happy that Eli s personality during monologue and dialogue matched The only issues I spotted were a few slip ups on tense usage towards the end of the story Finally I love the cover it s adorable. Santa's Little secretroompod 75 of 5 stars Sandra Walsh It s no secret that I love Christmas stories and even though you could argue that it s now January and Christmas is over it s also true that less than eleven months from now it will be Christmas again Whether I m late for last year s Christmas or early for this year s doesn t really matter what s important is the cuteness of this story With a slightly insecure and very dedicated to his job music teacher just LOOK at that face on the cover a hunky coach and a somewhat stern principal in a dance of who might be gay and interested in whom this is a highly entertaining tale Told with lots of humor that verges on sarcasm it tells the story of how music teacher Eli is trying to figure out which of the two men might be his secret Santa. Santa's Little secreto Eli loves his job he loves teaching kids but he d love to have a permanent partner even His last breakup was a year ago when he caught his then boyfriend with another man and he misses the companionship With a secret Santa leaving beautiful notes in his cubbyhole his family pressuring him to get out there again and his wish for someone to love it is easy to see why Eli jumps at the opportunity for a possible affair with one of his coworkers But when he finally figures it out not all is as it seems and he plunges into the depths of despair. Santa's Little secretum secretorum what That made even less sense to me I reread their interaction There was no ambiguity And yet it s explained away with maybe two lines He was straight blah blah blah At first I furrowed my brow and said huh And then I got kinda pissed The first half was pretty good The end SUCKED 2 stars Sandra Walsh

This was a cute little story about Eli a school music teacher that through a secret Santa gift gets involved in a love triangle His actions in attempt to decipher the sender make for an interesting read Sandra Walsh Sweet and cheeky Sandra Walsh Wow my last official book of the year and it was super sweet I love holiday themed stories and this had the great mystery Secret Santa going for it Was it the jock Coach or the cultured Principal You ll have to read it to find out but the journey was fun including siblings that were a stitch and a finicky feline The I love you s were a bit fast and a bit over the top but other than that cute Sandra Walsh 3.
