Book leading me home author This story was such an adorable read Both Kevin and Taylor were very likeable and I could feel their chemistry simmering just below the surface There are a lot of issues that arise that these two have to sort through most of all their growing feelings towards each other They have to strike a balance between where they need to be versus what the demands of the pack are Even though you know what is going to happen.

But he s always known he would go back home eventually to assume the Alpha role Kevin is a lone wolf who is recently unemployed He s been on his own since he was a child and he s pretty OK with that Living in the city keeps him busy and having Taylor keeps him from being lonely He s got a major unrequited love crush for Taylor and keeps things on the friend level to protect his heart and their friendship Taylor has to go home for a wedding and because his family is always nagging him to settle down he convinces a reluctant Kevin to pose as his boyfriend to keep the family off his back and he s always wanted to show Kevin his home.

I enjoyed this story but something seemed to be missing I didn t really feel the connection between Taylor and Kevin I loved that the Alpha of Taylor s pack was a woman Never seen that before The smexing was okay nothing great It was good enough to continue with the series but it was just okay 88 Kevin and Taylor are wolf shifters and best friends Kevin is a lone wolf with no pack affiliation and has been crushing on Taylor for a long time but never has crossed that imaginary line Taylor is the Alpha s son the heir to the Harrington Pack There is no question that at some point he will return home and take his rightful place in the pack but for now he wants to stay where he is with Kevin When Taylor has to attend a wedding back home I found their journey of enlightenment very enjoyable 4 stars 2. Leading me home epub download 5 flamesThis book was gifted to me by the Jeep Diva for the express purpose of an honest review The rating and review are solely my opinion and in no way was I compensated 88 I love this trope of friends pretending to be boyfriends and then realizing there s been something there all along Add shifters to the mix and this is just about perfect 88 I d have liked to have seen the characters fleshed out There were times when they just felt flat especially when they were speaking The dialogue seemed stilted and lacked a natural flow at times Though perhaps not completely out of left field the fight still seemed a bit random and unnecessary I suppose there had to be some sort of conflict inserted into the story to ruin the happy couple but this particular one did not feel organic to the story or even the characters It honestly felt like it was added as an afterthought and the rest of the story wasn t adjusted to account for it The writing was strange odd or incorrect word choices strange awkward phrasing and weirdly mixed up tenses Overall not a bad story 88 I m not terribly much into werewolf convention The alpha beta epsilon omega things based on outdated animal sociology pretty much give me eyeroll especially since there s so much recent animal sociology and generally animal studies that could make for interesting takes on shifters To me there s just something inherently harmful in the tropes of being born to be a leader and in the way nature is deployed in such stories Which is why I m very happy to say the werewolf tropes and decorations here didn t bother me too much A few moments people calling one of the protagonists sir because of his birthright but otherwise wolfisms were mostly about creating an alternative system of desire signals and that s something that I definitely enjoy But I digress What I really liked about Leading Me Home was the sweet adorable and well paced story using some fun tropes particularly fake dating in an enjoyable way Taylor and Kevin are likeable and their attraction is very believable I enjoyed the worldbuilding and the sense of a setting with forests and small town feel It was also the sexiest of Megan Linden s novels at least those I ve read so far particularly because of the wolf desire signals Scenting D And the pacing was really good I read the book almost in one sitting literally the day of the release as soon as it showed up on my Kindle. Leading Me homenik This was a love story Not a suspenseful shifter story of villains and predators It was about two wolves learning to love each other About allowing yourself to want things and accepting it when you get it It s a story of family strength and understanding A very enjoyable story 88 I ve been on a shifter bender lately and have gotten really lucky with my recent reads They ve been great and exactly how I like my shifter stories Leading Me Home is no exception When I first discovered MM I read some really stereotypical OTT alpha shifter stories and they all ran together pretty quickly which kind of put me off the whole trope for a long time Maybe it s just me but it seems that the whole shifter story theme has gotten so much better and or I was picking the wrong books Either way Leading Me Home was a treat to read It s very much a character driven story and those are my favorite. Leading me home pdf book Leading Me Home is the story of two best friends both are wolf shifters who live in San Francisco Taylor is a graphic designer and son of his pack s Alpha who is in the city gaining some life experience and independence so what could possibly be the problem Kevin knows this is going to take a toll on his feels he agrees but he s not overly thrilled with the whole plan Because they are best friends it s obvious to the rest of the pack that they have a connection so the ruse is working pretty well The Alpha and Beta Taylor s two moms approve of Kevin wholeheartedly This makes Taylor a little nervous he thinks the inevitable break up will end up being too hard on the family and he doesn t want any eventual blame to fall on Kevin unfairly As an aside I liked how the author worked all the pack dynamics into the story organically I was able to see how everything worked easily as Kevin was introduced around It was pretty cool they had a female Alpha as well Add to that she is in a lesbian relationship it makes sense that the pack as a whole is accepting of an individual s sexuality so there was no small town homophobic drama that happens all too often As the wedding celebrations and preparations continue Kevin can see Taylor in his element and how he is meant to become the Alpha one day He s not used to having to share Taylor though and even though he s enjoying his trip than he expected he misses his Taylor time The two are becoming closer and the line between friendship and is getting blurry It makes Kevin nervous and Taylor confused From this point on were some of my favorite moments The pack is very visceral and I could totally feel that in the writing of the scenes between Kevin and Taylor Scent is a huge deal obviously I mean wolves after all and Taylor scenting Kevin was a freakin moment I am telling you This is where Taylor got the first inkling that Kevin may be than just his best friend and the two of them can t really deny what their wolves are trying to tell them So between the scenting the dances they shared and the shifting and running through the woods together I was totally sold on them being together All that being said they still hadn t really talked about what was happening leading to inevitable confusion a smidge of angst and their first argument ever Thankfully it was all pretty short lived they communicated to one another and sought advice from their elders It helped solidify the roles of the secondary characters too which were already strong but this fit well for them too One thing I would have liked was a little in the beginning showing the two as best friends I had no doubt they were from what the author told me but a few strong anecdotes would have gone a long way The story is told in a dual POV that read very smoothly but I felt like I knew Kevin much better than Taylor I think a few friend moments toward the beginning would have given me a stronger sense of who Taylor was earlier on in the story. Leading Me homexdeals One thing Leading Me Home really nailed hard was the whole concept of mine that is always a predominant theme in the shifter world It can be a hard concept for me to buy into sometimes when it comes before the two MC s have barely spoken but some lunar goddess has deemed it so so they run bone with it Leading Me Home doesn t do that The thoughts that they both had about possession of one another came along subtly at first and ramped up as they spent time over the friendship line It made the whole idea so much easier to buy into They ve always carried one another s scent as they spent so much time together but when they consciously try to comingle their scents to pass as boyfriends Taylor really started to figure it out There are no city distractions and the Kevin s scent comingled with the scent of his pack is the trigger tripper Taylor needs to figure his shit out The pack had a particular scent and Kevin wore is now as well making Taylor s wolf very happy But Kevin s scent was than just that and Taylor wondered if he just had to smell his pack on top of Kevin s smell to suddenly go from best friends to You smell like mine You should smell like that all the time I m definitely going to be reading the next in the series I m hoping it s going to be about Deputy Zach and the young carpenter That sounds delish a copy of this story was provided for an honest review 88 An okay friend to lovers story with a fake boyfriend theme and a paranormal situation Despite it being a novella length things move in a nice steady pace Taylor and Kevin didn t immediately jump on their sexual attraction However the conflict near the end feels too superficial 88 A Joyfully Jay review 4 starsI just love books where the characters pretend that they are in love with each other only to find out that they weren t pretending at all In this story Kevin has been crushing on Taylor for the past year and a half but he s never let on Meanwhile Taylor obviously has feelings for Kevin given that he continuously brags about him when talking to his moms back in Harrington Hills Despite their mutual feelings for one another neither has had the courage to push the envelope until Taylor finds himself facing the prospect of being paraded in front of any available bachelor at the upcoming wedding Devising a fool proof plan in which Kevin poses as Taylor s boyfriend the two head to Harrington Hills for the wedding There the two are forced to interact with one another in a intimate manner than they ve ever been with each other before. Leading Me homemade ice As the wedding nears their relationship begins to heat up I never understood why people found werewolves to be titillating well now I know These scenes between these two were hot What I enjoyed most about this story is that it utilized common romance themes of unrequited love pretend romance and friends to lovers tropes So for non paranormal readers it is something familiar I also liked that the paranormal elements of the story were fairly basic two werewolves who have the ability to shift but most of the time they are in human form I also liked that the author explained their actions so that someone like me who isn t a paranormal reader knew why they were bearing their necks and intermingling their scents. Leading Me homeopet 5 stars I really enjoyed this story The length was perfect and luckily Ms Linden didn t fall into the miscommunication or big fake plot twist trope hole Things move along at the perfect pace really BFF s go home and pretend to be the boyfriend to keep the fam off Taylor s back start to realize there s there There s one argument near the end not a miscommunication but an actual argument that needed to happen to prompt a relationship talk and make sure everyone is giving equal parts Completely realistic and necessary and made things feels real as opposed to too perfect and easy. Leading Me Home kindle The mom s were great secondary characters and it gave a nice image of what their lives will be like in the future and how Kevin will fit And they provided a couple heart to hearts with an outside perspective.
