Very comprehensive learning methodThe USM or universal study method can be used to increase reading speed and comprehension Mathematics and reading are both covered and most any learning is made up of math reading and disciplined practice I have begun work on this and the revision mapping method to gain learning while preparing history curricula Great book 452 This book provides step by step instructions for increasing concentration and improving memory mathematical ability and study methods These instructions are clear and the usefulness of each technique is documented to my satisfaction Possible variations of technique are piled one on top of the other which I found a little overwhelming and I thought the book was very dry reading but that is to be expected in a manual. Book the man who died twice I did well in school and never felt the need for these techniques and I don t particularly have a need at this time either The section on speed reading was especially irrelevant for me I enjoy reading and since I have become an author I notice and of the nuances that make up an author s style I really want to read all of what is written You might get the jist of a book by flying through it but I think you d miss a lot of the scenery. The manuals I am uncomfortable with meditation that requires a vocalized mantra which the author makes an essential part of his program He insists that daily regimented practice of eastern style meditation to relax the mind must be grasped before you attempt the remaining abilities which discouraged me from trying them. Book the man from the future Despite my reservations I think that people who don t mind eastern meditation practices and have a need to improve concentration memorization etc could find this book to be very helpful I was given a digital copy of this book in exchange for a review 452 I ve certainly had better luck with this over other memory books It s putting the methods into practice that s all on me now 452 The Manual by Bremer is a thorough study of study methods The major toopics are concentration memory speed reading the ultimate study method and rapid math Not only does he cover the material in each of these cases he helps us to set up our study methods for the topic under consideration Those who are really serious about one of these topics with find all they need to begin the work of gaining in their study methods Good job Rod J Robert Ewbank author John Wesley Natural Man and the Isms Wesley s Wars To Whom It May Concern and Tell Me About the United Methodist Church 452
