Author of the Fragment Trilogy The Willow TreeThe Shadow BeneathThe Pale ManAuthor Page site_link Author of the Fragment Trilogy The Willow TreeThe Shadow BeneathThe Pale ManAuthor Page site_link site_link From the moment I set eyes on Miss Jennifer Bailey the first feeling I had was of intense fear the way she looked at me the way she moved like she almost wasn t human Dr Jeffrey Payne has a new patient and he soon realises that there is to her than he initially thought She knows things she speaks to him in different voices voices that are long dead to him How does she know such private matters in his own life And why does he feel as though despite her being held in the psychiatric ward at his hospital that she has followed him home The Shadow Beneath The Fragment TrilogyPart TwoAbsolutely brilliant read The concept in itself isn t particularly original but the way it has been written and portrayed is very good indeed I love the switches in point of view s and the letters from Dr Jeffrey Payne s private collection I love how well these aspects all join together to create a rich deep immersive scary story It s a fantastic follow up to The Willow Tree and I know that the finale to this trilogy will be excellent I have a couple of minor criticisms with The Shadow Beneath in that I sometimes found it confusing in regards to whether the story is being told in past tense or present I also found a few typo s That being said I thoroughly enjoyed this second part to The Fragment Trilogy and I sincerely look forward to reading A huge congrats again to Bekki Pate She certainly knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat Bekki Pate
