My Sister, Her Cancer, and The Cross By Susan Moffett Kindle Edition My Sister, Her Cancer, and The Cross This is the story of walking the journey of my sisters cancerbut its than that. This is the story of Gods grace because my faith is weak and imperfect, but He is so good.

Cancer and the crossI have lost 2 sisters to cancer and 2 months ago diagnosed myself God isGood I had lump removed and only 8 lymphocytes removed and now going thru chemo All is well I will surely survive Susan Moffett Ohhh my This is a very difficult book for me to review My middle daughter died from colon cancer 2 years ago I well know the pain of watching someone you adore fighting this horrible debilitating degrading and painful disease Colon cancer sic ain t for sissies And I know the pain my oldest daughter lives with every day she lost her SISTER always loyal her best friend soul mate protector advisor and confidant Siamese twins could not be closer than my girls So my heart aches for Ms Moffitt and her family Kristen s death has created a huge hole in our lives that will never be filled I m sure their family is experiencing the same I empathize with them completely There is no doubt whatsoever that Susan adored her sister and that their relationship was an extremely close one I well understand her effort to preserve her sister s memory for future generations Megan and I feel the same But now I have to give you my opinion re the book itself I cannot give it a high rating as doing so would negate the good writing of so many others In my opinion this book should have been written for family members and friends onlypeople who knew her sister and the life she lived Moffitt told us without allowing the reader to know them or to feel them. including herself She added people names with little or no introduction it took me a long time to figure out who they were or their relevance which for me interrupted the flow of the story While I applaud her effort as just writing and bringing a story to its conclusion is a feat in itself But I could not overlook her errors in English lack of character development and unemotional telling of a life changing event for everyone involved On the other hand it s a quick read and may be of interest to others who have a loved one fighting colon cancer As I read I was struck by how blessed we Kristen are that her battle was a short one However I m thankful I didn t read this book when she was diagnosed Susan Moffett
