Lally southpoint ford - leamington You may like it My Thoughts English It s vivacious And at times funny fuckin dervish with haemorrhoids although sometimes the laughs are easy I think there is too much going on and it isn t entirely clear what is happening and why It s a shame I missed it when it was done in Belfast I would love to see how it was staged English A play overloaded with ideas about religion identity family and the media It feels overloaded as it often doesn t nail the subjects it tries to tackle It feels long and overwritten in parts and in other parts sharp and funny It s brutality is commendable as it examines a truly compelling fictional situation in a very real wider context The ending is also very good English Although some individual scenes are clever and often funny this play is pretty much a mess way too long too many ill defined characters often difficult to figure out exactly what is transpiring the Irish isms don t always translate and when you have to rely on video for your final scenes well that kind of defeats the whole purpose of it being on stage now doesn t it English
