I bought this the 1968 sixth edition second hand in Edinburgh about 20 years ago I was fascinated by the introduction then it talks about cooking during rationing and still am now There is so much good sense in it of course it was written for an audience of housewives and the very notion today would create a furore However if you can ignore this it is rather a nice read.Some of the recipes are great too English
