Competition where entrants need to write a story in fewer than 100 words A prompt or theme is given each week and the entrants need to incorporate this prompt into their story in some way Writing a story in fewer than 100 words is a difficult task and some of our competitors have honed the craft to excellence Deciding which words to leave out and which to include can lead to the story being re written several times The stories in this book are all from entrants to the competition over the first few months of the life of the website I am sure you will agree that they are all of an excellent standard Not all the stories were winners for the week but all were highly commended by the judges This is a charity book and all the proceeds will be going to Springboard for Children which is a charity providing one to one support to improve reading and writing for children who are in danger of being left behind in the educational system I am sure that you will agree this is a very worthwhile cause and I would like to thank all the entrants for readily allowing their work to be published to support this charity Finally.
