What an awful book Just horrible The concept is stupid the illustrations are juvenile and the text is abominable The author has no concept of poetic rhythm or rhyme and the contrived and predictable rhyme is even abandoned at one point That a legitimate publisher approved and issued this amateurish atrocity makes me even sure that no qualified adults are employed in this business Parade Author Alexis Braud This is one of the most poorly written picture books I have ever read The rhyme was so off I refused to read than the first three pages aloud to my daughter When I finished the book on my own it only got worse the rhyme and rhythm changed several times during the story phrases like Ya dig and If you can t eat em join em made me roll my eyes and the text repeatedly referred to a tuba while the illustrations clearly showed a sousaphone I m really surprised that a library purchased this book it s just not good Parade Author Alexis Braud A very fun story of the day the animals had a parade Parade Author Alexis Braud
