But it did make it amusing though I doubt that was the intention This story passes the Bechdel test and at least there is a strong female character that certainly doesn t need any rescuing from anyone I like it when the women are bad asses The story in general is darker than I like but it is certainly realistic in the dark future it portrays There are swear words but they aren t over used Sex and violence are used to control and everyone is ruthless because that is the only way to survive The world building is exquisite No fault can be found there The characters are fully filled out and three dimensional though most of that gets lost in the large cast in the book I think that might explain its length Or is that just the wordiness okay maybe I didn t forgive them for that Kindle Edition

I might ve rated this higher but the author comes off as a bit of a prick The text is far too wordy it really does seem like he s trying to show of his bush experience and knowledge which kinda sucks because there are two worlds here Everytime we went back to some form of Fong civilization it was hard to remember we re not in Westeros Or maybe we were but that s my point so Fetu takes a voyage that ends with him being the hero of a revolutionexcept I cannot remember anything remotely enlightening about his experience with the librarian except he got high then conveniently nailed a revolution But thanks for that one bit at the end where Ngaan explains it all anywayI guess Too many commas that don t make any sense And what s with having dialogue from two characters on the same line That was weird A lot of the introductory texts to chapters weren t credited so I m left to believe our friend Chris is trying to be smart and force his doctrine down the reader s throat.
