5 star reviewIt s another great crime solving case with the super hot Private Detective Jarvis Mann in Blood Brothers by R Weir and I have to say this was my favourite book in this series Blood Brothers is the fourth book in this series so far and although could be read a s a standalone I would definitely recommend that they are read in order as there are recurring characters from previous stories In this story we see Jarvis still recovering somewhat from his previous case where he suffered painful injuries and heartache by when his family needs him Jarvis picks himself up and carries on When a call from his Sister in law takes Jarvis back to where he grew up he finds his big brother Flynn has dug himself into a hole that he just can t seem to get out of Jarvis lends his brother a hand but soon finds himself caught between Feds and gangsters Jarvis needs to save his brother from the depths to which he has fallen without getting everyone killed.

There is certainly always lots of twists and turns in this authors book that keep you hooked until the very end and this one also had me searching for extra pages after the final page because I needed to know what happened One thing is for sure I m certainly looking forward to the next one now I think one of the reason I really liked this story was because it had a personal feel about it as it involved Jarvis direct family and there was no way he was going to leave this case unsolved This series is definitely shaping up to be a fantastic one and if you are a fan of crime mystery books then this is definitely the series for you.

Blood brothers story This review was done in conjunction with Book Junkie Reviews Visit the blog for recommendations Blood Brothers Jarvis Mann Detective 3 Blood Brothers by R Weir is another book in the Jarvis Mann Detective Series During this story Jarvis Mann is still dealing with the aftermath of his last case People died during the last case and sure maybe they were bad guys and does anyone really care what happens to bad guys But still this did make Jarvis feel any better He put these wheels into motion he blames himself for them getting killed plus it doesn t help that other people got stuck in the middle Jarvis is trying to get over it but it s not as easy as he thought it would be After being shot at by his previous client and the love of his life is busy with school and he thinks she is being distant than normal but he loves her so he s hanging on After receiving a call from his sister in law saying that she needs to hire him to watch his own brother because she thinks he is cheating on her he finds himself in a sticky situation Even though he doesn t really get along with his brother he still takes the job because he isn t one to turn down a job Jarvis brother is still holding a grudge because their parents gave Jarvis money to start his PI business while he got nothing Jarvis loves his sister in law and niece and decides to head back to his hometown to see what s going on and guess what It looks like he s cheating But just when Jarvis thinks that the case is all wrapped up someone shows up threatening his brother Turns out his brother is in deep and not with very good people Enter in a high school girlfriend who is now divorced and looking amazing who is up for a no strings attached relationship with Jarvis But what s he going to do He loves Melissa and still enjoying diving into each new mystery to see what Mr Weir has concocted for us The series has a vintage feel and charm to it with modern settings characters conveniences and dialogue. Blood brothers republic shiraz I came away from the last book a little apprehensive due to it ending on somewhat of a cliff hanger This book begins a few months after the last book ended Jarvis had been shot in his behind by a disgruntled former client and also the future of his relationship with Melissa was hanging in the balance He has healed enough to get back to work although chasing down suspects in his current investigation is proving to be a rather painful exercise as his backside hasn t fully recovered yet As the case he s working on enters the wrap up stages he receives a call from his sister in law Helen who has serious concerns about her husband Flynn Jarvis s brother has been working long hours acting strangely and Helen mentions that their once healthy savings account has dwindled to almost nothing She suspects he may be having an affair or has invested in get rich quick scheme Flynn has always had an eye for the ladies and a penchant for strike it rich schemes and they usually ended up failing miserably in the end. Blood brothers book genre But Jarvis is soon to discover that things are not exactly as they seem His brother has dug himself a pretty big hole and doesn t seem to be able to extricate himself Now his family are being drawn into the whole sordid mess The case is a lot complicated and dangerous than he anticipated Can Jarvis save his brother from such a perilous situation Actually can he save them all from the danger This case is a lot treacherous and the baddies are a lot evil than any he s encountered in the past What is in store for him and will they all make it out alive Will Jarvis have to risk it all to win the day Will new alliances and some needed assistance that garners his debt of gratitude prove to be helpful But at what cost What will become of his relationship with Melissa especially when temptation is put in his path Mr Weir is a mastermind at creating interesting unique and complex stories with brain teasing mysteries to solve and major twists which keep you on the edge of your seat in suspense and guessing right till the end The series just keeps getting better with each new installment Again I was pleased to get to know even about Jarvis where he comes from and the many situations that helped shape him to be the man he is today Delving into his childhood memories which occurred throughout the story in the form of flashbacks we get of an understanding of his character heart morals and flaws I was sad that he and Melissa s relationship had hit a rocky patch at the beginning of the book and I held out hope for them to work it out the whole way through the book Jarvis deserves to have a H. Blood brothers running time A someone to share his life with I m not sure at this point what the future holds for them but I remain hopeful The story is fast paced but with a smooth flow that allowed me to read it very quickly Blood Brothers can be read as a standalone but does contain characters and references from the other books so I really recommend reading the other books first to get the most out of this reading experience. Blood brothers bara naga full book Like the others you won t be able to guess all the twists and turns You will be cursing Jarvis though Blood Brothers Jarvis Mann Detective 3 I just want to start off by saying this one is by far my favorite out of the Jarvis Mann series R Weir has taken this book to another level I was sucked immediately into the story from the first few pages I couldn t get enough and I never wanted it to end This one is my favorite for many different reasons First being you will get an inside look into Jarvis s past Mainly into his childhood and how he became the man he is today I loved that his childhood wasn t what I thought it would be and I also thought it was amazing how Jarvis overcame some of the troubling things he got himself into Secondly I like how we get a different perspective of his family I learned where he grew up about his niece and mostly about his brother I was very intrigued to learn about his brother And this is where things got really interesting I can t stay for sure still if I liked his brother Flynn Some of the things he did or would say put me off but I really thought Jarvis handled everything perfectly I could go on and on about why I loved this book but then my review would be super long Just know this book is amazing It was well written and has lots of mystery in it There was a part that broke my heart but I won t give any details I really enjoyed reading this one and I loved how I m always shocked to find out what happens throughout the book It will leave you guessing until the very end Highly recommend reading this one as well as R Weir s other books Blood Brothers Jarvis Mann Detective 3 In Blood Brothers Weir uses flashbacks to show highlights in Jarvis childhood that give an understanding of who he is pretty much a train wreck What How This is entertaining and enlightening reading also makes this book a great goodread A big part of the flashbacks is Flynn Jarvis big brother the title and main storyline he s in big trouble Jarvis goes to his rescue and the outcome is not what you d expect This is when the action starts and I read with an uneasy feeling There s a softer emotional side of Jarvis but his sarcasm is ever present even facing the FBI and a ruthless crime boss Another Jarvis trait stands out and causes him a lot of guilt he just can t remain faithful to one woman This book gives us of Jarvis and who he is I love him even I say this is a must read Blood Brothers Jarvis Mann Detective 3
