While the cover may appear a bit cartoonish the history inside is not The twelve chapters are well crafted and every one includes at least one photo later subjects may have several photos it simply depends on what was available Attention is paid to social and cultural context and the childhood of each woman as necessary to help explain why they became important contributors to the state and beyond it to the nation and the world The sources sections includes articles books websites and even historic locations one could visit thus making this book an excellent jumping off guide for anyone who wants to dig deeper into each woman s life Paperback
