Rose box with necklace I don t remember much if any profanity but there is plenty of violence and references to some unsavory activities I d give it a PG 17 content rating English I obtained this ARC from the author in return for an honest review and although I never heard of this author before I m glad I took the chance He had loved her for so long and tended to the roses below her window reverentially He was just the son of the guardner knew they could never have a future as he had nothing to offer her but he loved her and would always would She called him Rose Boy and soon everyone called him that Then Raltenor the Conquer invaded the castle with his War Dogs and killed her Early before the Dogs arrived is father threw him down a sewage pipe that lead from the castle sacrificing his life so that his son may live Twenty four years later Rose Boy became a Master in The Guild of the Mask bent on avenging his love and his father and he planned to kill the murderer no matter what happened to him as he knew once he killed Raltenor he could be with his love as the War Dogs would surely kill him but he would be at peace English A fast paced dark fantasy novella with a well placed plot twist I enjoyed the descriptive first person narrative especially the combat which can get repetitive and feel like filler in the hands of other authors in the genre English Wow That sucked Yes I figured that his girlfriend would still be alive but the murder suicide ending yeah sucky Also since she died via poison then the next person who comes along will just start the cycle all over again D u h Thank goodness it was a short book English
This is a great story about love life and war It is a short story with lots of detail. Book rosebine car park Enjoy English A very nicely done dystopian fantasy if that s not an official genre it should be with strong writing well drawn characters and an excellent plot Definitely recommended English A good short story given away when signing up for MSEs newsletter quite well written Mostly violence but quite engaging English Great short story with a surprising ending English Rose Boy is a violent action filled story of revenge and heartbreak The terrific short book is a quick read nearly impossible to set down.
