I immediately realized that I was in for a great read The two new partners clash in a fun way He is egotistical and she loves to push his buttons It soon becomes apparent to Colby that he is being followed and he takes Kate along with him to protect her Kate jumps in with both feet and becomes an integral part of his investigation What they don t know is that they have stumbled upon an international smuggling ring and a group of hardened criminals that will do anything to keep it secret. The rest of the book is a merry chase throughout the English countryside Colby and Kate are up against the odds the smugglers the KGB assassins and the police who should be helping them David.

Let me introduce you to two unlikely cohorts Colby and Kate Colby is a brash American CIA agent in the midst of searching for his partner s killers in England Kate is a beautiful intelligent museum director in a small English city secretly wanting out of life Before his death Colby s partner mentions a Varga s Passage This embarks Colby on a path to find out what or where Varga s Passage is who killed his partner and unbeknownst to him save the planet from a Russian attack during the cold war era of the 80 s Tom David the author makes reading Varga s Passage extremely entertaining He does this using the two strong main characters Colby and Kate Colby while trying to find out about Varga s Passage enlists the help of Kate at her museum Within the first interaction the author is well schooled which becomes apparent with his use of cultivated words and phrases throughout His historical quips from Kate are intensely researched and add to the richness of the book without becoming dry and distracting David has a knack at building up each chapter or sub chapter to a climax Many times I thought oh no how are they going to get out of this situation only to findWell I can t let that out of the bag can I You will just have to read through the twists and turns of this passage Varga s Passage is a delight and I anticipate reading any other novels written by this talented writer TBR TopBookReviewers Kindle Edition
