Epub capital crimes download Some are returning favourites and some I never want to meet Intense and uncomfortable but very entertaining Douglas Stewart This is that rare beast the anthology which doesn t contain a single story about which I have reservations They differ in length and aren t at all similar in theme though there s an abundance of corpses I really enjoyed the diversity here some being amusing as well as thrilling These short stories show ingenuity some slick and classy writing and will give you another set of authors to follow A great book Douglas Stewart This is an anthology of crime stories by UK based members of International Thriller Writers and contains my short story The Drag Queen Wore Red a short story in the Plumber s Mate Mystery series set between 3 Heat Trap and 4 Blow Down. EBook Capital crimes Slightly psychic plumber Tom Paretski and his sister visit London Pride but crime is never far away You ll note that as this is a general crime anthology romance is very much on the back burner compared to the novels in the series in fact Tom s fiance Phil hardly appears at all although the couple does share a moment at the end Set during London Pride the story is however extremely gay KC Wells is entirely to blame for the Porn Star Martinis by the way g As a special bonus for m m fans the anthology also includes a Cambridge Fellows short story by Charlie Cochrane although again romance takes a back seat to mortal peril Douglas Stewart Inscrutable Douglas Stewart 3 5 A mystery involving a detective who is investigating the brutal death of 3 illegal Chinese immigrants It s not particularly suspenseful but it follows as a crime drama as you follow Detective Ratso on his investigation This involves a lot of talk about cricket which lost me half the time since I know nothing about it Badami Charlie Flowers 1 5 Sorry but I was completely lost with this one Took me than half the story to get a gist of what was going on whether Holly was being truthful about all the things she was saying about herself and what she was aiming to do And just when I thought I had it figured out it ended by confusing me again I m not sure if this is a character readers of this author already know but I had no idea what was happening and it wasn t a long enough story for me to figure it all out. What crimes are considered capital crimes The Drag Queen Wore Red JL Merrow 4 5 I m a little biased because I ve read this series but I felt like this one managed a complete story that explained the background well enough while not expositing too much It had a nice little mystery who stabbed the drag queen which was wrapped up nicely and tidily by the main character and his gift All the while there was a nice little bit of snark to it Good solid little story. Capital Crimes nonfiction definition 5 5 What an unexpected story Marshall Masters is a lawyer and there s just nothing to like about the guy really But he makes a great main character as we follow him through his moral vacuum of a day Nice bit of unexpectedness there at the end. Capital crimes definition Contained Lambert Nagle 3 5 This one ends abruptly and without a clear outcome for the main character but you can definitely infer what s about to happen I mostly had an idea what was happening but I m still not 100% on how some of these secondary characters fit into the murder Game of Chance Charlie Cochrane 3 5 I m definitely intrigued by the character and am assuming Jonty must be part of a story or series already written I d like to read about him The story is interesting Not a mystery but of a suspense Jonty s life is on the line and he has to talk his way out of being killed I would have liked to know about North and how things went for him because he was actually quite a sympathetic villain Mountain of Light Graeme Shimmin 3 5 Involving a man Prabhu part of a commandos team from India tasked with stealing back a diamond from the British crown jewels It s actiony and interesting but it ends on something of a cliffhanger as we don t know if they ll eventually be successful in capturing the cursed diamond or what the effect will be Karma Alan McDermott 2 5 Not much of a plot or story to this one Guy dies and learns all about what hell really is as he reviews the sins of his life It s pretty gruesome reviewing those details but in the end his punishment is quite satisfying. Kindle Capital crimes Hacked Alex Shaw 2 5 I didn t enjoy this one much for some reason Guy is asked by his co worker in MI6 to help him get back the money that his aunt was swindled out of They manage to trace it back to a certain place find the guy and open a whole different can of worms which requires political based conversations and the end Not exactly exciting. Kindle Capital crimes What Goes Around Stephen Edger 4 5 Wow Good story Beginning middle and end No ends left untied A complete suspense story with great characters that you were rooting for and a villain I think I would have liked to see a little bit of that conversation between Tina and Mark Chris but the story still ended well without it Douglas Stewart Review of The Drag Queen Wore Red I only read that short story by J. Nonfiction capital crimes books 2020 L Merrow since it s part of her The Plumber s Mate Mysteries series As usual it had fabulous and witty writing very realistic use of slang and a very accurate portrayal of British Pride celebrations Tom was also as usual funny and lovely and snarky but I think Cherry deserves the award for the best side character talk about a redemption story She s up tight and snobby but as hilarious as her brother and I LOVE HER SO MUCH More Tom and Cherry shenanigans please and thank you Douglas Stewart
