In exchange for an honest review ebook This is Volney s second romantic suspense in the Wyn Security series I like the books They have an intense and interesting group of people at the core and Volney crafts unique and intriguing storylines that keep the characters on their toes There is always a lot of second and third guessing going on and the characters have to learn to trust themselves and each other before they can build a relationship on the attraction they feel I thought Felix and Arabella had a fun rapport and I thought the fact that they were married and yet haven t seen each other for years added a unique twist to their story Volney has a different writing style for her romantic suspense than what I ve seen in her contemporary romance stories While she does a good job of creating tension in these.

Protecting His Heart contemporary Protecting His Heart was such a fun ride I loved the story line I thought it was a great second chance romance with an exciting game of cat and mouse This book was filled with danger suspense and lots of action There was also lots of romance sexy good times and some angst to top it all off This is my first read by this author and I can not wait to read from her in the future I was provided an ARC copy of this book it sometimes feels a little stilted but I also think she is improving with each one and the strength of the story and characters helps to smooth out the rough edges I look forward to seeing her continue to get better and better with each new tale ebook

Didn t get very far in this book Didn t hold my attention ebook This book is the length of the average category romance but that is where the similarity ends The story is a very visceral liaison between two intense primal individuals Arabella is a very Alpha Female The interactions between her and Felix full blown alpha male are explosively interesting completely unpredictable sassy funny but also sad and crazy These two are like that movie Mr Mrs Smith with Brangelina And like Brangelina Felix and Arabella have smoking chemistry and eh steamy scenes are not for folks who blush easy Their relationship is truly unique and interesting in a bizarre way They bring new meaning to the term dysfunctional But hey sometimes I like strange Thank goodness both characters retain their likability throughout the story even when you want to bash them over the head for being stubborn saying something stupid or making the exact wrong decision The dialogue is bouncy never grates and the storyline is well written and believable One thing though I think this is a book in series likely not the first one because I got the distinct impression that a book or two came before Lots of missing backstory Anyhoo that fact did not take away Still very much enjoyed the story ebook Protecting His Heart is one of the sexiest suspenseful romances I ve ever read I loved everything about this book.
