Well written and entertaining This is a well written time travel romance It was lacking some essentials for me Hence only four stars I really enjoy the fish out of water aspect of time travel stories I felt like Claire adjusted a little too quickly to the medieval Scotland Although the one discomfort she did complain about was delivered with humor She accepted her fate to never return home as quickly but I suppose it gives time for the actual story to take place The main characters.

The women epub torrent Author Lisa Dawn Wadler knows how to evoke emotion At different times while reading The Draig s Woman I was utterly frustrated incredibly sad just plain mad gooey from good feels a little hot and bothered and apprehensively tense She can superbly write angst and fear and tenderness I m just not sure historical time travel is the right romance genre for her talents. The women on kindle Any time Ian and Claire were on the page I was as lost in them as they were in each other Even though I ve never read Outlander or seen the TV show yikes as an admitted romance novel junkie I did just admit that I got the definite vibe of fanfic from the beginning of the book How similar it really is to that other famous Scottish time travel novel I can t say because of my shameful confession made in the previous sentence My impression that this book was an homage went away as rapidly as the plot points that connected plunking a 21st century woman in the middle of 13th century Scottish lowlands If you are an avid historical time travel reader I don t think you will care for this book Claire reacted very little to the vast differences in lifestyle technology and culture that separated the 800 year leap The lack of detail and effort spent on this was embarrassingly poor for a novel marketed as a time travel book My suggestion is to treat that aspect of this book as a ridiculous contrivance to get Claire in front of Ian and then sink into the anxiety that will plague you for the rest of the trials and tribulations of their love story. The women on kindle Claire and Ian fall hard and fast for one another Unfortunately there is a rather legitimate concern Ian has for the future of his clan and Claire doesn t fit neatly into any of the solutions At times he is willing to ignore that concern and she is not and then the roles reverse Add in other women drama yes that is plural treachery and the many offers for Claire and their romantic path is not an easy one All of this is compounded by how utterly clueless Ian is regarding how to reconcile his passion for Claire with his responsibility to his clan At one point he laments the lack of control he has in his life Like him I was howling for him to grab onto his future and make it happen the way the romantic in me wanted it to Mixed in with all the drama are secondary Draig clan characters rich with concern care and decency One of the other women has unexpected twists to her temperament that added dimension to the story I wish some quirkiness or diabolical darkness had been added to the villains in the story Sadly there were flat and one dimensional As characters Ian and Claire are fair and trustworthy and beloved by all Their downfall is their lack of confidence in themselves and one another and I had a hard time understanding the source of this insecurity In fact with her training in martial arts and self defense Claire was the prototype of a woman had the ultimate confidence in her abilities which were amply demonstrated throughout the novel as she saved herself and Ian from peril That was why I was so frustrated with this novel I wanted Claire and Ian to just grab onto their happiness and they let chance after chance slide by them No doubt Wadler had me upset I liked the leads so much they had such palpable tenderness with one another and yet. Draconian women in fantasy arrggh I was on the verge of not finishing this book because I had had enough of the other women Ian s culpability in Claire s unhappiness and the complete miss on legitimate historical detail So I skimmed ahead to see if Ian would ultimately prostitute himself for a dowry and Claire would return to her time Only the story sucked me in again I needed them to be okay I don t usually waiver so much on rating a book but I finally settled on 3. The women epub torrent 33333 stars 4 for romance 4 for character and 2 for historical time travel detail And because I always round up as well as the secondary ones are well fleshed out and interesting The plot kept my attention even though it didn t bother me to put it down when real life interrupted Overall it was a pleasant read It had a few sex scenes which are well done humor in the right places and drama to keep it moving English Good story I love a tough modern woman thrown back in time specially a woman with a second degree black belt She kicked ass right from the start while also still managing to be a shy somewhat innocent woman She doesn t try to join the men in battle or anything like that She s quite content to sew and do laundry when needed She s also happy to point out when she sees a soldier not guarding his left side Thankfully this clan doesn t have that you re a woman and your duty is over there mentality When she reveals that she was an accountant bookkeeper Ian is happy to employ her as such. Draconian women in fantasy This book contained a lot of heartbreak There were several times where my heart was lodged in my throat as I read what she went through This couple coming together was a long and often emotionally painful road Though it was also filled with love and romance throughout The side characters were so lovable and the drama built toward the end with a smattering of action thrown in at times I almost considered putting the book down around the middle when the characters seemed to give up on their efforts to be together for valid reasons but I knew this was a stand alone book and it wouldn t end in misery so I kept going to see how they d eventually turn it around and I m glad I did It was a good and fairly realistic story with the HEA that I wanted I think book two is going back in time even further and telling the tail of Ian s ancestors who were briefly mentioned I m definitely going to give that a read next English 3. Paranormal the girl the ghost 5 STARS I CAN T HELP BUT FEEL THIS STORY COULD HAVE BEEN WRAPPED UP IN HALF THE CHAPTERS GOING ON THAT MADE IT EXTREMELY LONG WINDED AND THE ANGST WASN T EVEN UP TO PAR IAN is the Laird of his clan and on the way back from negotiations with another clan for the hand of his future betrothed he and his men are attacked and he s left tied up to a tree For unknown reasons a time portal appears before him giving him a glimpse of Claire in the 21st century Ian is immediately smitten and yes this is insta love If it wasn t for the angst of Ian marrying another woman I would have dropped the story Anyway when Claire steps through the portal to untie him she is officially stuck in a year 800 moons ago Ian brings her back to his home but along the way they fell into passion while evading the men looking for him According to his family s tradition taking a woman s maidenhead automatically makes her one s wife Even though Ian s clan is destitute for the money his marriage will bring in he s willing to lose it all for love but Claire has enough sense and honour not to let him jeopardize everyone s lives Ian for all his good heartis almost completely useless in the story He can t do shitexcept for loving and even then he still hurts the woman he loves CLAIRE is not a bad heroine I enjoyed her monologues and too bad she never got the chance to go back to the 21st century just to give Ian a heart attack I ll skip the details of how she came across Ian and his tied up situation but Claire is also swept away by Ian after she got over the whole time travelling part and I did enjoy their blossoming courtship in the beginning until they reached his home when other characters were introduced they were all very pleasant and SADLY while the idea of Ian marrying another woman is there and the bride to be even appeared he never truly got married to her Thank God But then again if he did it would make the ANGST so much better OVERALL it was a predictable plot and seriously the story was divided into 3 PARTS.
