#heading[2]Feel their feelings and really connect to them and Julia accomplished that very well This is my first book by her and I am looking forward to reading Julia Regan Received an ARC from the author for an honest review Cora s families station in life has gone up And now she has new friends and a new life But none of it made her as happy as she was when they were poorer Joseph is one of those from her past Her first childhood love The feelings for each other are still there But Cora is now expected to marry within her station Will she choose love or what is expected of her Julia Regan I loved this book I got so attached to the characters that when it looked as though Cora was going to please her parents instead of herself and it seemed as though Joseph was lost to her forever I completely lost it and sobbed My heart was breaking for them I loved Cora and Joseph They were in love but circumstances separated them and I was not sure I would get my happy ending A bittersweet story with wonderful characters The advice given to them both was the best Made me question the importance of being true to yourself versus making your parents proud and happy This book is a keeper Julia Regan

.#heading[3]I received a ARC copy from the author and loved it I just finished the book and it was such a wonderful read I would get so engrossed In the book I was cheering for Cora and Joseph and so wanted to smack her mama Another wonderful book by Julia Regan Julia Regan I received an ARC copy in exchange for my honest review I m not a huge fan of historical romance but I enjoy other works by this author and read it I was pleasantly surprised I would recommend this to other readers Julia Regan FREE WITH KINDLE UNLIMITED Cora Ashton She is still adjusting to the life her father s newfound wealth has brought her and she can t seem to understand why people think it s so much better to have money After all with the turn of the 20th century coming quickly Cora sees freedom in being poor She certainly had a less strained relationship with her mother before and she hadn t been expected to parade around at a coming of age party or to marry a man she didn t love And she d had Joseph Joseph Watts He hates seeing Cora s unhappiness but with such a low station in life he can do nothing about it Besides his hands are full with his ailing sister and working every odd job he can find to support the two of them While the news of Cora s engagement to Charlie Cantrell is difficult to hear Joseph knows the wealthy young man will provide for her But when circumstances become overwhelming and Cora and Joseph find a way to steal a moment here and there to reminisce over their childhood together the uproar it causes both in social perception and the raging storm inside both of them that drives them to need each other becomes overwhelming Each forced to make difficult decisions her mother decided that she couldn t even acknowledge those that she had played with before She even had to change churches Joseph Watts had known Cora when they were both children and they had spent carefree days playing in the woods and by the creek Those days were gone and now Joseph wasn t even comfortable calling her Cora Now she is expected to court Charlie a wealthy man Her parents want her to make her life with him Cora tries to avoid being miserable but she must battle her parents Charlie and Joseph A very enjoyable read Julia Regan A sweet romance that is well written and very different from your typical romance If you re looking for a clean romantic story that pulls at the heart strings this is the book for you Poor turned wealthy young lady expected to marry a man of equal status even though her heart belongs to another A man who has nothing determined to make a better life for himself is in love with his childhood friend even though he knows she is above him now The author does a great job portraying each character with their emotions and feelings As a reader I really enjoy being able to see the characters lives play out through their eyes.
