Fast paced and entertaining and a nicely complex plot and the historical setting was well drawn and introduced smoothly I ll be back for English Enjoyable readThis is not quite as good as the Libby Seargent books by it is enjoyable light read Slightly confusing in places where the heroine s past is revealed and somewhat predictable characters but still enjoyable I will probably give the series another try English I m a huge fan of Lesley Cookman s Libby Serjeant series however I m a bit unsure about her new series I like the characters well enough but none of them have captivated me the way Libby did from the first book However I did enjoy it and look forward to the next one English In an Edwardian seaside town a concert performer is found dead As the story progresses it becomes clear that the main character Dorinda the owner and manager of the theatre is suspected of being involved in some way The setting and historical details build an interesting believable world and I look forward to reading about the Alexandria and its inhabitants English
